I have found a load drone inside the car until the car reaches overdrive, Any suggestions how to reduce this drone.

I had the over $500.00 cat back duals( another brand ) installed a few months ago on my 2001 with 14,000 miles and an Airaid, and with the baffels at the end of the pipes out, I get the loud drone at about 2,000 rpm, BUT my gas milage shot from ( no mistake ) 19 to 14 M.P.G. Any ideas ? Tex

Tex It is possible that when you removed the baffels, you reduced the backpressure to much , which could affect your milage. If possible reinstall your baffels. Don`t feel bad about your price mine was $800.00plus taxes. I call Borla about my noise, they are going to send me some venturies I will see if that helps. Rick Richard Upthegrove |

Thanx Rich, but I tried it with and without the baffles
in the tips. on three different fill ups. always 14 mpg. I think the baffles in the resonator itself are welded in backwards, and are too far down inside to be cut out. At least with any tool I know of. It is the P.T. Tuning brand. Tried another of their resonators also, and no difference. Tex |
