Default odometer recording MORE milage then it should

so ive had a problem for the past year or so that my odometer would record less then normal milage, 30miles would be 5miles on the odometer, as of a week ago its doing the opposite, i now drive 1500 miles to work (really 30 miles) what in the HELL is going on, im thinking about snatching a cluster off ebay for 30$ and hoping that works, ive replaced the speed sensor and the cars computer already so im outta ideas

side question- was the dash in my 2001 recalled at any point? finnally cracked in half so i need a new one, otherwise ill just make a fiberglass one with some speakers in it my self :P

im trying to get the vid i took off my phone right now ill post it in a bit

The vehicle's speed sensor-output is used for speed and mileage readings. It is located on the drivers side [front] of the transmission case.

Just go buy you one with the miles you want and that will probably take care of your problem.

The input speed sensor is located under the transmission cooler lines. The output speed sensor is located about 6 inches to the right of it. This is for an auto trans.
