That's one of the hoses I tried to trace when my brake pedal went hard and my idle was racing between 1000-3000 rpm's. The large hose went to the back of the upper manifold (which is the one that fell off), the other hose that went into the small filter just went out of the filter and around back of the computer. Never did find out where it went because I didn't want to take the computer out and I found my problem with the other hose being disconnected.

The vacuum line with the canister, connected to the brake vacuum assist, goes to the HVAC recirculation-fresh air control system on your dash. This operates the door-flap sealing (via vacuum) the fresh air closed.
This can be seen inside, if the glove box is removed (IIRC).

All I can reply is my first hose usually went out to the bars with her girlfriends 3 times a week.
