Default Egr question

OK today I did a tune up on my wife's 03 pt with new plugs, wires, ignition coil, and PCB valve. When I was taking her manifold off and I went to remove the egress tube low and behold it did not have one. Just a empty spot where the tube went in and the 8mmwhite bolt is suppose to be. We just bought the car last August. So will not having the egress tube cause any problems? It only has 86000use miles on it.

The egr was only used on the '01 and '02 cars, so there is nothing missing or wrong with yours.
