Default RF Brake Seized Again 2001 Limited

Had this problem this past summer and thought it was cured.
Today it came back with a vengeance!

The wheel got so hot it was smoking big time, you could fry bacon on the oem aluminum rim!

For some reason the right front brake is intermittently seizing badly.
I just had it fully serviced this past summer after it seized and all " was " good or so we thought.

I have no idea if its caused by something other than components at the wheel rusting while idle/not in use or if it a deeper problem.

We live in an semi rural area that uses a lot of salt and needless to say everything rusts pretty fast.
We do not use the car daily which might be contributing?
Beats me, I have never had this happen on any car before.

So today, I limped home a couple miles at a time, stopped cooled off a few minutes, then went a couple more miles.

By the time I got 10 miles from home, the problem disappeared!!! Now it is driving as normal, not seized and totally cool to the touch!

I have yet another new caliper & bracket in the trunk so I guess I need to change it again?

Idea's??

Might also be time to change the rubber hoses that go to the calipers alongwith a full flush of the brake fluid.

I had the rubber hoses at the wheels changed during the last brake job, but who knows, like I said, it has been causing problems on and off for a while now.

Were the calipers replaced? If not, they should be replaced with NEW (not rebuilt) calipers.

Well, all is apparently good now (finger crossed).

We installed yet another caliper w/bracket and it works perfectly.
In 138,000 miles we have replaced that caliper 4 times!!

34,500 miles per caliper seems kind of bad though seeing as the left front needed replaced once??

I have no idea why the RF keeps going bad but it has had bearings, new hub, new lines, energy suspension bushings and links kit installed.

weird

When you installed the new calipers did you clean and lubricate the slide pins and the areas that the caliper sides on?

They were all properly installed. I am pretty sure it may have been the bracket was bad/bent,
Time will tell, its been fine for over a week.
