Default Autolite spark plugs and wires

I picked up some Autolite AP5263 plugs and Autolite 97060 plug wires. I have heard some people don't like Autolite stuff for the pt. Will these work fine for my non turbo pt? I haven't installed them yet but would prefer not to have to send them back (got plug wires on amazon for $19 with a $10 mail in rebate (costing me a grand total of $9 for the 4 plug wires )

i've always used autolite plugs in my other cars with good results. if you decide to use nitrous you'll need to step up to the AR series plugs. lol

Opinions vary and it is usually how they are installed that makes those opinions .lol The Autolite will work fine even if your PT was a Turbo model. As will the plugs.

whats "nitrous"

I don't have a torque wrench but I plan to get them tight but not putting too much "umph" into it. Will this be an ok approach and not mess up anything?

I am one of those that adheres to everything has a torque value, but in the case of the spark-plugs in the PT's head you can use the alternate install method which; is install until they are seated and then carefully go 1/16 more. You want them tight so they will not back out but not so tight that you cause damage to the threads in the head. You should be ok!
