Default 2006 PT Follow-up headlight question

I have a 2006 PT non turbo and the driver side low beam is currently not working, but the high beam does. I have gotten the light to work for a bit by taking the bulb out of the housing and messing with the bulb and wires. Is it possible that the computer still needs to be reset to permanently fix this problem? I was thinking that maybe one of the "tabs" inside the plug might have come loose from the wiring. Any advice would be most helpful. Thanks.

Sounds to me the bulb Is old and needs replaced, it could be a short in the wire but I would bet the bulb is on its way out. when bulbs get old sometimes the filament inside will move around and make contact and work sometimes and other times won't. You could test by taking the other side out and plugging it in to see if it works like it supposed to.

I agree. If messing with bulb and wiring will get it to work sometimes then it's either a bad bulb or in the plug/wiring. If it was the TIPM it wouldn't come on at all.

Exclamation Re: 2006 PT Follow-up headlight question

I got side swiped and my fender was messed up so I bought a new one. The crash broke three of the four pieces that mount the headlight to the car and it also bent where it mounts. I got a new fender to only find out that the part that is bent doesn't come with it. Where can I buy a new mount or can I just bend it back into place?

Seth,

I looked up the headlights in the 2006 Parts Catalog and the pieces that your talking about don't seem to be mentioned. You might have to visit a salvage yard to see if those parts are available.
