Theres tons of swap info at neons.org

www.neons.org • View topic - How-To: 5 speed swap (2gen), ATX to MTX

note that all n/a transmissions interchange, you can swap bellhousings cable to hydraulic.

Guys do Neon swaps literally for a few hundred $.
Neons use same/similar parts, but theres a HUGE informal supply network

The 'new' stuff you need to buy (clutch) is expensive

Hey Cheeskake...
If you need a "Getrag" shifter setup, I have an extra one!

Hi, I'm not sure exactly how you'd do the install but I do know most of the stuff you'll need. The easiest way to go is to get the "getrag" transmission from a GT cruiser or an srt4 neon it's the same tranny used in both, you'll obviously need clutch pedal, wiring, etc and most importantly you'll need a new PCM one from a manual PT GT and then have it flashed to your vin. If you use your current PCM it won't work with the manual trans. That's all I kno so far hope it helps.

Are you sure about that? I read before that the Srt trans is a little longer.
