I did a fast search and what it looks like is a replacement of the instrument cluster is needed. In 2006 and above, the PT came with a "Personal Settings" button that would allow you to go back and forth but the first generation (01-05) doesn't have that choice.

Wait a sec. The new cluster is what I found in a search. That should be verified somehow before laying out any money for a new cluster. Not sure about the V.S.S.

What's being suggested is a "new" US spec cluster face. The electronics/mechanics/needles remain the same. It's just the graphics that are changed so although the needle will point to the same spot, the numbers are shifted to indicate miles instead of kilometers. It's a small project that will only take a couple hours.

I believe on the non turbo, the needle is straight up at 60mph and on the turbos is straight up at 70mph. If that doesn't correlate to how the Canadian speedo reads then I might not be 100% accurate with my info.

Hey Jim...
Did you leave California yet? I do have some clusters. I can hand one to you if you are still here.
