Default Won't crank after radio install

Hello, my name is Mark and a couple of weeks ago my wife and I purchased a 2003 Dream Cruiser. It is a great little car and only has 61k miles on it.

Anyhow, today I decided to drop in a Kenwood radio. Everything went smoothly but when I tried to dive the car, it would crank and start but would die after a couple of second. This took place maybe half a dozen times. Now it won't even crank. Battery shows 12.4 volts on the meter.

At first I assumed that it had something to do with the radio but after reading a few thread I am wondering if it is the ignition actuator. Any thoughts or insights would be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully you took off the negative battery cable before installing the new radio. If not, start checking the fuses in BOTH fuse boxes. There's a box in the interior of the car and one in the engine compartment under the air filter.

Also, try resetting the computer by taking the battery cable off now for about 5 minutes.

It is running again. Had something to do with not connecting both grounds and constant power leads from the harness to the radio. I suspect it had more to do with the ground than the power lead.

Anyhow, it will crank and run now but is throwing codes: P0441 (which was a code showed last week until I loosened and re-tightened the gas cap), P1681 & P0462.

Time to do more research. Thanks for the response.

Normally I'd direct you to the tech docs library, however my server is down and won't be back up for a day or two.
