Hi all,
We have had our PT Cruiser for 6 months and so far it's been a great car. One thing i've noticed though, while we were in a long ( 1 hour) traffic jam the other day. When creeping along at about 2 or 3 miles an hour and are not very light on the accelerator, the engine feels like it's bouncing excessively every time you accelerate or decelerate. I've never owned a front wheel drive car before and am wondering if this shake or bounce is normal. It sort of feels like a worn out universal joint on a rear wheel drive. Thanks for any info on this. |

It is not normal but I am not sure what it is. Probably has to do with the heat and the auto trans unless you have a stick! Did everything get back to normal after the traffic ended? If it did and this does not happen again dont worry about it. If it happens again you might want to check engine codes. Got me stumped pretty much but it does not seem normal to me.
