Default 2006 AC charge

How much R134a is in the ac system? The FSM says "NOTE: Please refer to the underhood HVAC Specification sticker for the latest refrigerant fill levels for
the vehicle being worked on." Where's the sticker?!

Not sure what Randy's point was - on the '06 PT GT, it's a 510 gram system. However, you cannot base the charge on the weight of the R134a - you have to pay attention to the Pressure::Temperature graph and measure the pressure on the Low side, so that when you charge your system, you put the right amount of R134a in it!

Here's a link on mine, I just posted this a few weeks ago: HOW TO VACUUM DOWN & CHARGE YOUR A/C SYSTEM

Now I don't mean to slander Randy, but the "poundage" of R134a is totally incorrect. If you load up more than the factory sticker under your hood states, then you are putting way too much pressure on your system. Add to it, if you really want your system to work better than factory, and if you've never opened any of the lines, then find a place that can suck down your existing R134a (get it all removed), then vacuum down your system for a minimum of 1 hour, then recharge your system with new R134a, including about 1 ounce of PAG46 oil.

I'm telling you the truth - facts - I've tested my system so many times and went in so many incorrect directions based on what info I got off these forums that I finally figured out (oh yes, after spending an entire day with a Senior Mechanic at Chrysler) how to make my system work fabulously. You're more than welcome to come sit in my PT and freeze your butt off!!
