Default ▀█► PT Cruiser AC Big Problem

2006 PT Cruiser Touring Edition AC Problem, System was evacuated properly. As I begin to refill almost at the end of the 1st can. The low pressure side jumps from 40 to 110 and the compressor start working hard. This is the second time I evacuated the system with same results.

This is with one can only after system evacuated.
Low Side High over 110
Car Compressor acts like I put to much
Compressor kicks in Shakes car.. Low side drops from
110 to 90 then back to 110 continues same..

Don't what else to do..

It takes roughly 1 1/2 cans to fill system, right around 540 grams. Try putting in proper amount and see, also it may need some pag oil.

I think the expansion valve in this case is called an "orfice tube" and is a non serviced item and contained in the liquid refrigerant line from the condenser to the evaporator unit. A partiially plugged or defective one will cause the "high-low pressure side / high-high pressure side" readings you describe in your post.

My gauges indicate 45 on liquid line . That liquid line gets really hot . Is that ok?

I only used 1 can..

Add 134a on the PT is diff from other cars..

So much stress!

I replaced the Liquid line w/Orfice new and new accumulator. Vacuumed the line for 45 min. Waited 30 after.. No leak..

I filled 1 can and 1/2

The Liquid line gets hot and High gauge displays 410
