Default rear rotors stuck

I have discs for my rear brakes and not drums. After 13 years the time has come to replace the discs. I've got the caliper off, but the disc wont come off, the hub spins freely, so it's not catching on the parking brake shoes. The disc does not have the two open holes that are sometimes there to screw the discs off with a bolt. Can anybody help? Thanks.

Spray penetrating spray around the lug studs and the hub opening. Put the lug nuts back on. Not tight. Take a big hammer and smack the rotor between the studs on the part that is stuck to the hub. This should break the rust bond between the two. Then you can check to see if the bearings are smooth after the rooter is off.

Thanks. I'll need to take the dust cap from the center of the disc off first though, which is stuck solid as well

Not all penetrating sprays are created equal;I have had the BEST luck with PB Blaster ,When nothing else would work on stuck stuff...It DID!!!!....I SWEAR by it now.

Sure, try that- Then beat it off with a 2lb hammer or 4x4, you won't hurt anything.

I gave up on my fronts after a full hour of pounding them like they owed me money ... In my case if it wasn't up on a hoist somewhere that I could take a full swing, I was wasting my time with it up on jack stands in a tight garage.
Frustrating as hell.
Good news is even with huge chunks out of the old rotor ( yes I ended up hitting right on the surface too ) it still braked relatively smoothly for a few days until I could get it to a hoist.. I should have took pics !
Wonders never cease... Good luck to you

Exclamation Re: rear rotors stuck

I had almost the same issue with my the rear drums on my 1998 Toyota Tacoma I had.....It helped when I remounted the tire and ended up laying on the ground and alternately kicking the '5h1t' out of it for 10mins till it finally broke free!...lol
