Default Headlights quit working

Last night the headlights quit working on the PT. we have total headlight, dash light & tail light failure. The in car dash fuse is good, the under hood fuse is good (both light up a test light) but neither separate head light fuse has power coming in. is it safe to assume the multifunction switch (which I assume is between the main fuse and the separate fuses) has failed, or there is a broken wire between the main under dash fuse and the separate headlight fuses? This is an 04 Touring edition.

I replaced a multifunction switch in 7/11 to fix a fog light issue, but it didn't make any difference in the fog lights, I removed the fog light fuses and disconnected the wiring to them. I still have the original switch and am considering putting it back in. Does anyone have other suggestions?
Gene

OK, So I switched out my multifunction switch and I have complete functioning lights. The switch I replaced in 7/11 from Advanced Auto has gone bad already. The Factory switch lasted from 04 until I pulled it in 11 in an attempt to fix a fog light issue, and I have reinstalled it. Guess we will how long it lasts. Gene

Thanks for getting back with the "fix".

Hmm, maybe the factory MFS at $140 is worth money?

Thumbs up Re: Headlights quit working

I keep hearing when dealing with 'electrical' parts....For some reason OEM replacements don't seem to work as well as MFG/Mopar.....So,when I need any electrical parts I don't plan to mess around......I'll bite the bullet and pay the extra;Unless I'm told otherwise!
