IMHO, it's not a practical swap. While you could change the shifter without a problem, the PCM and wiring harness would have to be changed. Since the PCM also contains vin information, you would need to go to a PCM programming specialist with knowledge on how the OEM auto stick was programmed and add it in. Then if there was any recall or TSB for your car and the PCM is flashed or updated by the service dept (based on your VIN), you would have to get the PCM reprogrammed again. The same dealer flash problem applies to those PT owners that go to chip tuners, i.e. ASE Chips or Kenne Bell, and have their PCM's reprogrammed/modified for performance and improved automatic transmission shifting points.
So, save your money and just enjoy the drive.

man i didn't know it was that complicated, with the powerstroke diesels guys are always switchin PCMs, usually because it is alot cheaper to get one off ebay than it is to get from the dealer if yours gets fried)
the TURBO isn't what i think scared my mother away from the Turbo PT but it was the TURBO BLUE

[xx(] I LOVED IT!!!!! i explained that turbos are nothing but GOOD!!!! (heck i even said they get better fuel economy[}
