I would guess it all depends on how the wires were burned. When my Camshaft wire harness dropped down and burned the wires, the Chrysler dealer I was towed to was all set to change the sensor and wiring harness. The mechanic put it on the lift (broke one whole side of my undercar LED's, but that's another story) looked at the harness and soldered the burned wires back together. Wrapped them up real good and it's been that way for half a dozen years without a problem.

If your harness burned because a surge of voltage went through the harness, then probably the whole harness needs to be replaced. If the harness burned at one spot taking out the Crankshaft wires only, fix or replace just those wires.

If you repair the harness. Make sure you solder them back. And tape or use heat shrink to protect from weather and getting against something and shorting. Twisting them together will be a nightmare.

If you are going to the trouble, I would add a few inches to give more slack, and use adhesive lined heatshrink over the solder joints and then tape over that. Should be the last time you ever need to make that repair if you hang them away from all the badness.

an entire harness is $$$. Don't look it up as you will drop.

I would personally say, hang on to is JIC....But,if you really want to sell it,go to the classifieds thread, and put the title "F/S PT Cruiser CRankshaft Sensor NIB".....You'll get more bites on it,this isn't the correct thread for people looking to buy.(They may miss it here.)
