Default Leak in the hard line for rack & pinion

I found a leak in one of the HARD lines for the rack & pinion. Can I get a line for that at a parts store or do I need to go to the Dealer? I tried NAPA but for the 1st time ever I had a lady who knew less than me when I was there?

Also how hard is it to replace. I have done brake lines on other cars I have but this looks cramped and limited for access.

Ok, just did some research on this issue and from what I can tell I will have to replace the ENTIRE rack & pinion.

Any tips or suggestions I am just below a back yard mechanic. I THINK I can do anything then get into it and find out otherwise (couple times had my car towed to the shop to finish a job - LOL!)

Really - which line is leaking and what is your model year and trim level.

When I bought my kids 01 in 09 it had a bad P/S fluid leak, it was on the hard part of the low pressure hose (it believe) near where the rubber hose was joined to it. Goodyear service was the first place the kid went, they wanted to replace the rack. I located extended service issues for this item and sent the kid to the dealer near her college, the f'ed themselves by sending her on the way after fixing it, "not". After she drpve home and I put it on the rack I saw the same leaky hose and nothing done under the car, so 95 miles back to the stealer and after two more trips they got it right but we never ever went there again. If yours is a hose leak It may still be covered, but hat was 4 1/2 years ago.
