Default Surging at 3700 rpm

I am at a loss for what is causing this.

Please, any ideas might be helpful.

Question Re: Surging at 3700 rpm

Need to give more info....Such as;Is this at standing idle?....On start-up?....Tell everyone as much info as possible; There's really no such thing as TMI,when it comes to diagnosing a car problem.

If the surging does take place when your in neutral and just giving it gas, know that there's a rev limiter built into the computer that will stop you from doing any harm to the engine. It won't let you rev past a particular limit. It cuts the injectors off (I think).

!!!
This is the first that I have heard of a rev limiter, but that would make sense if it behaves the same way American transmission governors do.

It was indeed happening when the PT was in Neutral or Park.

I will look into it more, I will be happy if I was chasing something that is not a problem! I fixed lots of other things on the way.
