I guess no one has bought that little device to give you an answer. Before you plunk your $$$ down...it's made in Germany. Are the overseas models the same as ours? I now they have a 2.0 liter and a diesel model, do they have a 2.4L [:I] Or, was that device made for our 2.4L [:I]

Crewzin, I have no clue, but I have seen power mods chips like this all over ebay and wonder if they really work. Some aren't German.

All these things are is a resistor that causes the timing to advance. If you have Turbo, this would be a no-no.

You can do the same thing with a $1 resistor from Radio Shack, but of course you have to know which one to use.

Is that the $1 mod I've seen mentioned on the SRT-4 site? [:I]

I dunno. I wouldn't advance the timing unless you're planning on running race gas.

Most of the real Chips cost $ 300.00 to $ 500.00 and don't live up to their claims. All you are asking for to use one of these eBay pieces of junk is trouble. Anything that plays with ignition timing could really damage your engine if it changes the timing under the wrong conditions.

I see this things on ebay all the time and figured I would see if it was the hype I thought it was. If you could really do this do you think the manufacturers wouldn't have put it in from the start? Of course they would have.
