Default 04 PT not spark

I'm helping work on my grandmother's 04 PT. She went out to go into town one day and it wouldn't start. We hooked up a computer to it and it threw a code for the PCM, so we replaced that and still nothing. The fuel pump runs and there is no spark. We're at a loss now, everything seems to be fine except the spark. Any ideas??

Default Re: 04 PT not spark

Spark comes from the coil but the computer knows when to use that coil by use of the camshaft and crankshaft sensors. Most of the time we hear about the camshaft sensor going bad, either that or the wiring harness or target magnet related to the camshaft sensor. check those out first.
