what air filter would benefit the Turbo PT the best, does this engine have any specific needs different from the non-turbo motor? I understand that turbo's don't need any help as far as ram air or forced air..I know I'm showing my ignorance now, but I want to make a modest addition to the engine where I can get the biggest bang for my buck (with out voiding the warranty) any help from turbo onwers would be great.....turbomangt

I know K&N drop-in filter for regular pt works in turbo air-box. I sold 1 of my used ones to a turbo owner. Whether he noticed any differences I haven't heard.

What is needed is plenty of air and my experience is that the stock air cleaner does the trick if it is kept real clean. I bought a used K&N drop in and noticed no difference but it will flow better when dirty. So you can stick with the stock filter and just make sure it is clean or get a K&N and just clean it every year. Just my opinon and of course it could be wrong!!!!!!

Your opinion is right. Chrysler designed the Turbo (and non-turbo) engines as a complete system from the air cleaner to the exhaust tip. Low buck modifications are good for appearance and sound only. The stock engine is already giving you better than 1 hp per cubic inch and the turbo is 1.45 hp/ci with a 70,000 mile warranty! The only real performance improvement would be to drop in a V-6 or larger and that isn't low buck.
