Default 2001 2.0l misfire

Hello everyone!

I'm new here, but have looked around here earlier. There seems to be alot of misfire issues with the PT's. Here is my issues:

Misfire and loosing power when accelerating. All over ther register. Code 301. Changed injectors, plugs, cables and coil. Performance improved but still got problems. Code 301, 302 and 352.
Changed crankshaft sensor. Runs better again but still misses. Code 301 and 302.
If i pull the parking brake, put it in gear, turn on highbeam, full fan, rearwindow heater and A/C it realy starts to miss. In other words under heavy load.

Don't know where to go from here.
Any suggestions anyone?

In order of occurence, missfires are usually:
plugs/wires
intake gasket
oil leaking onto plugs
injector(s)
valve/compression grief

If it is missing at idle, spray some starting fluid along intake seam - if idle smooths out, it's gasket.

I tested for leaks at the intake with spray without result.

I also dicovered that it idles good if the fan for the coupe is off. It doesn't matter if it's on A/C or for heat when the fan is on, then idle starts to behave irratic. Turn fan to off and idle is good again.

Anyone?

When you have it on heat, is the control set to defog? (defrost)? If so, that turns on the A/C compressor also.

Thanks for your replies quicksilverdon.

You are right about the A/C. If I turn defog off and the fan not on A/C, it runs fine. As soon as I turn the A/C on and it "clicks" to start the compressor it starts to missfire. A/C compressor "clicks" off, runs fine again.

Where/what is the connection between the A/C and the ignition?

it's idling too low? and doesn't charge enough? or is below design of engine?
There's treads on cleaning the IAC valve, but only know this from reading here.

The A/C is putting a load on the engine - when the A/C comes on at idle, the idle should go up - I believe the IAC controls that - as UptownSport indicated.
The IAC bolts into the rear of the throttle body - it can be removed and cleaned.

Idle speed doesn't seem to be affected by the a/c. Just misfires. I pulled the fuse for the a/c to see if it has any effect. Haven't check the charging but if I turn on full beam on head lights, rear window defroster, seat heater and full speed on the fan I don't see any changes that indicate low charge. However, I will test it properly.

I will also clean the IAC valve and see what happens.

Thanks guys. I will keep you updated.

When all is right, turning on the A/C is supposed to bump up the idle speed a bit (100 RPM or so).

I might not have been clear in my first post, but it acctually misfires when going down the highway at 80 mph at 3000 rpm. This is with the a/c on. Haven't test without since I didn't see the connection earlier.

I'm thinking my a/c compressor is giving in.
