Anyone had issues with brakes? We have replaced both front and rear brake rotors. Granted the car had 40K miles on the front when replaced. The usual driver is not easy on brakes. I think 20k for a set of rotors is excessive though.

Can you tell me why you replaced the rotors?? My GT is too new but other cars I have owned needed new rotors after around 100,000 miles or after the third or fourth turnings. Did yours need replacing because the were turned a lot or warped or just why?? If they just plain wore out maybe the factory rotors are thin and you need to replace them with after market rotors with slots. I expect to get about 20,000 miles of font pad wear and at least 60,000 miles before the front rotors are shot. Rearws should last about 25-50% longer in a FWD car.

I had my rotors turned at about 18,000 miles but they didn't even mention any wear. But 70% of my driving is highway.
