Default voltar air intake kit

Hey everybody! I have a question I bought new back up lights from hyperformance center .com site. They have a air intake system for abour $210.00 looks interesting. my 2002 limited is new to me and runs about 1/2 way between cool an hot all the time. Does anyone have this tye of system installed? Does it cool down the PT? Does it mess with the onboard computor? Will it affect the warrenty? I know a lot of questions, but I was hoping someone had researched it. Any info would be appericated.

The problem is not with the engine or intake or anything else exept that gauge of yours just wants to sit in the middle. It appears it runs in the middle from thermostat opening temp to near boil over temps! Put an accurate temp gauge and then find out how much hotter it runs than the opening thermo temp!

The dealer probably isn't going to fix it because they are all intentionally dampened to the point that they don't tell you much of anything. They will all read about in the middle almost all of the time. They could have done the same thing with a cold light and a hot light.

Air intake won't cool the engine down, but will give you more pep that you can feel, and, if you can keep your foot out of the gas, you even get better mileage. I don't know the intake you're talking about, but for a little more, you can get a K&N FIPK intake, 50-state legal, and I think, the best. Won't screw your warranty or anything else - lots of us have special air intakes - the stock one was designed to keep things quiet.
