Default Timing belt opinion needed

When replacing the timing belt do you automatically replace the tensioner and idler as well ?

Engine has about 180K on it and ran well before the belt quit.

Thanks

Usually the timing belt, water pump, tensioner, and idler get changed....I believe it's all part of a TSB I saw somewhere.

Given that the bulk of the cost is labor, it is silly not to replace as many parts that are made accessible as possible.

I totally agree. It's a total PITA to replace the timing belt on the PT, so while your in there you might as well replace it all. You can buy everything as a kit. I used a "Gates" brand kit on my daughters car, it came with everything you will need.

Also replace the serpentine belt and alternator belt. You already have them off to replace the timing belt. Be madness not to.
