Default A bit of help please

Just purchased 07 base model. Battery light was on and had advance auto test it. Checked battery and alternator and the battery needed replacing. Installed new battery and the battrry light is still on. Had it checked at three part stores and all checks show battery and alternator to both be good.
Anyone have the same experience and can give me some help?

I recommend scan for codes with a scan tool not the key dance method. Then write the codes if and and clear them. After which disconnect the battery and press the brake peddle for several seconds. Wait about 10 minutes reconnect the battery and start the engine. DO NOT touch the throttle at any time until the engine has reached operating temperature. You can see this by the position of the needle on the temperature gauge at or near the middle position. At this time if you have no engine light drive around a block or 2 and see if the condition reappears. If the engine light remains or reappears then you need to recheck for diagnostics codes and also have a service shop recheck your charging system. IF the PCM is at fault it will show in a diagnostic code(s) if properly accessed.

The most important thing to look at and make sure is clean and connect well are the battery terminal. Specifically the ground leads.

Got it fixed. The wire between the alternator and the computer was broken.
Could not signal the computer to turn off the light. Spliced in a piece of wire and soldered it in. All I s working well now.
