Default Water Trap for NA's?

The Turbos were talking about an inline oil seperator a while back. I think it was installed between the PCV and throttle body to help prevent gumming-up the intake components.

Where would this device mount on the NA? The dealer already hosed me once to degunk the intake due to a rough idle

Commonly referred to as a 'Catch-Can'.

For the NA 2002 & newer PT, the make up air hose was moved to the airbox, before the air filter. This greatly reduced the crud coating the throttle plate that affected the 2001 PT so terribly.

You can easily swap the airbox with someone who's installed an aftermarket air intake.

Just be sure to get all the hoses and flexible elbow with it.

My make up air hose gets alot of sand in it. The open cell foam piece that is suppose to protect it doesn't work all that well in my opinion. What can I do? 03 TE.
