Default "VIN" Question

Been looking for a head gasket set for my 2004 GT HO. I keep seeing kits for VIN "8" or VIN "E" or "S" "G" and even seeing "EDZ"
My VIN is: 3C8FY78G04TXXXXXX
My question is...just where am I to get this info from on my VIN?

My engine is a G code or EDV (whatever that is)

This is probably one of those situations where it's best to avoid all the part number confusion with the turbo versus non-turbo mumbo jumbo and just look up the SRT4 Neon gasket which is identical to the GT. If you still need to go the vin# route, try as many on-line stores as you can find. Not all of them have the correct info on the GT but some of them will.

Vegas, down in my signature block is a link to the technical docs thread, there I've posted hundreds of documents to include a breakdown on the PT VIN numbers. Check it out if you get a chance.

Been finding that out. Ordered a radiator fan, the guy swore it was correct... wrong again Buckwheat. Said just keep it and gave my money back. Ordered throttle positioning sensors TWO times from different vendors...both will not fit..again said just keep them and refunded my money (found out I didn't need it after all), also the same deal with a ignition coil, new one for a stock PT

Chromenut.. I've downloaded some of those on my Motorola XOOM but it takes so long to go though them. I never use a "real" computer unless I need to print something. Just lazy I guess.
