solenoid problem

Default solenoid problem

ok, had a transmission soleniod leak, i replaced the solenoid with rebuilt unit it would stall when i put it any forward gear. it was suggested to put the old one back on to make sure its was the solenoid was the problem, everything worked fine but leaks. so i returned the rebuilt unit and bought a brand new mopar solenoid. the dowels stick out alot farther than the the the other two units what do i do?

Try researching for TSB's on that particular solenoid. Chrysler might have made a change to compensate for an issue they had with the older unit. Or take your old one in with you and show them the part. Try to match it off the serial number on the solenoid and you might find you have the wrong part.
