Default Rigt Pressure?

What should be the pressure rating for our radiator caps? Think mine is 16 PSI

Thanks

Base 02 non turbo that is on its last legs. Hate to say it but Just don't think it will last. Love it and would like to keep it but I have a cracked head or head gasket leak. This is why I am asking about the radiator cap. Had some overheating problems.

Overheating because my coolant level keeps going to low. No know leaks. Must be going threw the motor. When I take the cap off and look in the filler neck I can see some bubbles come up. And once in a blue moon when I stop the car I can hear pressure bubbling in to the coolant tank.

So what do you think? Right call on the head gasket? By the way a stupid question. I heard the radiator fan is high and low speed. Now will it come on while driving at a high speed then driving at a low speed as needed? Or dose the fan spin at a low rpm then at a high rpm as temp gose up?

Like any other computer controlled fan, low speed first then onto high as the coolant heats up...all except the fact that it doesn't matter what the temp is if the A/C is turned on. Then the fan should be running the whole time.

To answer your exact question, the fan isn't needed above about 35mph because there's enough air coming into the front so the computer shuts the fan down.

They have a cheap tester that checks the coolant for exhaust gasses. I think it's like a litmus paper type of deal, but I don't know. I never needed it

So how much of a nightmare is it to take the head off if needed?
