Thumbs up timming belt done !!!

Well this is my 2nd post. Thanks for all the information one the first post,..it sure came in handy!!! You need alot of knowlege, tips & tricks to do the timming belt.I did have to buy a 3 jaw puller $64.00 I was kinda disapointed when I got it apart..the belt had been CHANGED ....But NOT the water pump,..and was it leaking !! The tensioner pullys looked replaced as well. Sooo, it got a new water pump and a new belt..."might as well" I had to unbolt the" computer Box ??" from the firewall, it was binding on a black electrical thingy on the intake manifold. I used a hydrolic floor jack to raise & lower the engine "lots" I did not take the Air cond lines off,..I worked around them, save a little money on recharging...."and I just wanted to see if I could do it" LOL. it sure made taking that big octipuse engine mount out INTERESTING !! up down, up down ,curse, wiggle, wiggle, cuse...up down. Well its all done,.. I'm stiff & sore, heading for a nice warm bath..will leave cleaning the shop till tommorow I'm to beat and tired.

I hope you restarted the engine before you celebrate too much - it is easy to have the timing be off.....I'm not wishing that on you, just saying..

That really is an accomplishment!

We had to change front crank seal (and crank sensor) on my brother's Neon (~same engine as a PT) and it only took an hour and a half or so- The PT Chassis is sooo tight
