Ive just attempted installing an alpine cd player into a pt cruiser (alpine 9811). I got all the wires hooked together but now it says "noFuse" on the digital dash. Well i checked teh fuse in the radio, and the radio fuse in the car and they both were ok. Is there another fuse that im missing that it might be? The car runs normal, but also the dome light doesnt come on, and if you have the car turned off and the lights on, it doesnt ding warning you that the lights are on as it did before.

Fuse #18 in the underhood power distribution center is the IOD ignition off draw fuse. It's blown.
This fuse, location, and circuit is detailed in the owners manual. |

2 fuse locations - by driver's left knee inside car, and driver's side rear under hood.

It's the oblong black box that has the arrow pointing to the positive battery post.

I love the picture showing exactly where things are. I understand there are two fuse boxes?? I found the one under the hood, as shown in the pic. I hear the other is by the left knee of the driver......neither I or my mechanic see any access to that. We both shoved our head under the dash. Didn't see it.
Is there a major disassembly for to find it? |

Tigger,
You didn't say what year your PT is. I believe they did away with or just moved the inside fuse box from the panel by the drivers left knee on the 06 and newer PT's. I don't know exactly where they put it in the newer cars.
