Power Steering Noise

Excessive noise coming from power steering...pleanty of fluid and seems to be worse on cold days...increase effots and feedback thru steering wheel entering driveways Any ideas?

Hey bud..need alittle more info here, part of the country, millage, year of PT..stuff like that and we'll try to help ya out, mine PT hasn't had this problem so far and I'm in a cold climate but only have 6800 mile on mine tho.

Take it in to the dealer and have them replace the power steering unit under warranty, if the belt isn't slipping, needs adjustment, or replacement. In rare instances, the rack and pinion assembly may need to be replaced. Hopefully, you used the recommended ATF+4 transmission fluid if you added any fluid to the power steering or transmission for that matter. The use of any other transmission fluid type may void your warranty.

I've noticed the same exact symptom in my '01..when it's really cold (20's-30's) it makes a sound similar to a unit low on fluid, but as it warms up, it quickly goes away. I too, would like to find out..cause my warranty has expired and I don't want to have to replace expensive parts trying to diagnose it
