Which ever strut bar fit your personal taste in looks.

Unless you have a custom made strut bar for a PT Cruiser pretty much they are all for "bling".

This thread has some good information if you can log onto this forum to read it?

They are only for looks.

Any benefit you feel is a figment of your imagination.

I think Nitro is having flashbacks of the "Great Handy NOPI Strut Bar Challenge" we recently went thru--
harrym, here's a pic of the c 'n c strut from NOPI--you gotta mod it to death for proper fit though--

Well lets see? Lets use what many use on forums to determine such things.

Do any of past and present retail available strut bars for PT Cruiser functionally work?

As you can tell Harry it's about the finish. If it's made of something that will hold it's finish that's as good as the get. Good news is the struts are pretty stiff already. So if handling is on your mind, spend you bucks on the other suspension parts. But these do look good on there. Good to see you Harry.

Remember,

Unless you have a set of extremely rare NOPI twin (double) strut bars that have been custom hand fitted to your PT, like Garkeller and I, then they don't really work. A single bar is never enough.

PS: Jokes aside, the Freedom bars sold by Race and Street are as good as any and the price is very reasonable.

Cool Re: Strut bar

Best advice: Get a strut bar that you think fits your taste.....DON'T get a strut bar because you 'think' it will help you turn hair-pin turns @ 90-100mph;If you want to do anything like that, you money would be better spent getting a better front sway bar(Stage-1 = 27mm),lowering springs, better struts,or maybe even coilovers.
I myself bought a NOPI strut bar......Only as a toy/project for FUN & it looks cool!(NOT for performance).
As Nitro has educated (or at least tried to educate) some about strut bars,a common theme has emerged.....99.999% of mass manufactured strut bars, are NOT even tested for their performance characteristics on a skid pad,or slalom course before (or after) production; Most are produced because they look cool, and for ease of installation.

Disclaimer:....'Butt-Dyno' does NOT count as a real-world test!
