Default timing belt coming off the cam sprockets

I have 03 PT non turbo just replaced timing belt with the gates kit and water pump. The reason for replacing it was because the belt was coming off the cam sprockets and rubbing against the timing cover. But got every thing back together and it is steal doing the same thing. Any help would be very appreciated

Did you replace the timing belt tensioner and properly set it?

They said yes and they already had this problem before the change.

the spring thing was lined up in the middle. Checked it after I turned the crank 2 complete turns. Does the tensioner keep the belt in line ?

That is done with the alignment of all the pulleys. What started this problem to begin with. How did it start. Had any work been performed before this.

Would the timing stay set if the timing tensioner was wrong ?

Won't effect belt position. Just wouldn't run.

It sucks that it is doing this because I was all happy that I set the timing right. I told my grandma she should sell it. I think she thanks is a person or something because she was patting the dash and saying don't do this to me girl LOL
