Default PO700,PO720 Trouble codes

Recently on my '01 PT I've had shifting problems and erratic behavior on the speedometer gauge. Plus the car would get stuck in 2nd gear. I know that usually means a Limp mode but I replaced the output speed sensor and still the problem remains. I did clean the contacts on the wiring harness for the TCM as well as the contacts on the TCM itself, and that helped for 3 weeks.
Now it's starting again. Is there a way for testing the TCM for proper resistance in Ohms before spending $200+ on a reman unit?
Say No To Stock! Cruisers should be customized!
