Exclamation Need help! 2001 Pt cruiser!!

I have a 2001 Pt cruiser 150,000 miles bought used a year ago. When the weather got in the negative temps. My car wouldn't start and battery died (or so it seemed) I tried jumping it and it wouldn't start so I took the battery out to autozone and the battery was fine and they fully charged it I hooked it up today and the car won't start. All lights are on,it sounds like it wants to start but won't. I don't think it's the starter. I put a code scanner on it and came back with no codes I also did the odometer can and it came back with p1684 which is just that the battery had been disconnected. I think it might need maybe reset? I honestly have no idea?? Anyone know what could be wrong.

Is the starter working? Turning the engine over? If it is try this.

Feather the gas peddle, the ecu needs to relearn the map/tps sensors. Hold rpms @ 1200 until the car will idle.

The starter is working and when crank it feels and sounds like it wants to start but won't.

Check ALL cable connections(not just terminals) paying special attention to the fenderwell ground(it is vunerable to corrosion from road salt!),if all appear OK....You may want to check them for resistance with a multimeter,as cables do have a tendency to breakdown with age, causing greater resistance, thus not allowing all of the voltage/power to get where it needs to go.

Get some starting fluid and spray into air intake and crank it over...
If it doesn't catch with THAT, you have no spark....OR - the timing belt snapped.
When was last time timing belt was changed? Needs to be changed every 100,000 miles - if it wasn't changed, I'll bet that's your problem.

I don't think it's the timming belt as it was replaced a year ago and I haven't driven more then 5,000 miles

Ouch...cranking but no starting...could be timing belt blues...but with only 5K on a new one...maybe cam sensor?
