the answer is NO it would not
how long ago ws the timing belt changed???
how do you know you havce fuel--no in the tank but to the plugs
it can be a few things timing belt--fuel pump Pcm

if you are actually getting fuel to the sylender and if it is firing and if the timing belt is right it pretty much has to start so one of them is not there

Go with cruiserdad's first question, when was the timing belt done, or was it. What kind of mileage do you have. When you changed the Camshaft sensor did you look to see if anything is turning when you turned over the engine inside the hole where the sensor goes? If nothing turns, the belt is gone.

The PT 2.4 Liter engine is a non-interference engine which means the pistons can't hit the valves, BUT the free floating valves can hit each other. On average, only about 1% of the cars that had the belt break had internal damage. You should be OK. Hopefully.

If belt broke, odds are good you just need a new belt (and water pump) - usually doesn't cause any more grief, but belt & water pump runs about $1,000 +-.

Wait!!! Have you ever done anything like this before? The best people around, it takes 5 to 7 hours and they know what their doing. A lot of mechanics get the timing wrong because they haven't done it before. Go into our HOW TO section and find the 5 threads that talk about the in and outs of doing the timing belt change. You also want to put a new tensioner and water pump on while your doing that job. Here's the link to the HOW TO section...
