Question weirdest error code ever... :help2:

now im not sure what happened but while i was reading a code (P0420)
all the sudden the code C22FF pops up from no where.
im not sure if it was an error on my laptop, my reader program (OBDwiz), or if it is a real code as i googled it and cant find anything at all on it.

if anyone has come across this before plz help
thx

with everyones exp., what is the P0420 all about and what could the problem be?
i looked it up and it could be the O2 sensor or an exhaust leak but im just trying to pick a few brains here.

It could be the CAT or the downstream 02 sensor. Have you ever replaced either of the 02 sensors? What is the mileage on your PT? If it turns out to be the CAT, your covered under the emissions warranty for 8 years or 80,000 miles.

But first things first. Clear the code, get in/under the car and check both 02 sensors and the wiring to both to make sure their both n place and everything looks good. Then see if the code comes back after driving.

...and on that C22FF, I can't find anything related to the PT.

Look at your manual for your scan tool, it may be an internal error code for the tool itself?

Did you look at your scanners user manual for internal error codes? Just asking!
What is the model and brand of Diagnostic Scanner are you using?

We are just trying to help you.

I realize that I may have little experience with Diagnostic OBDII port access and DTC code interpolations and analysis but I do know how to read information on DTC codes available for most vehicles. The number you are giving do not come up in anyone's master DTC guide. So the conclusion would be a device operation error code which could be confirmed by the user manual or an technical service number of your scanner you could call to find out?

I will find out about it tomorrow and let you know.
All can tell you is you should not have gotten the numbers as you described. Scanners do not work that way.
