Unhappy 01 Limited Edition Running too rich

I have a 2001 PT cruiser limited edition 5spd manual with 47xxxx miles. I just recently replaced the old catalytic converter and both O2 sensors because of a PO420 code which set my check engine light off. I thought my issues were solved but now I've realized it's running rich because black smoke is still coming out the back at higher revs! Any help would be very appreciated!!!

Fuel treatment just in case. Then check the temp reading from diagnostic port. If it thinks it's running to cold It will richen the fuel mixture.

If this is the case, how could I change it?

Your IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor measures the air density. Make sure it's connected correctly and there's no outside air getting into the intake that would mess up the reading of the sensor.

Exhaust manifold will crack, but I'm not sure the oxygen sensor could even adjust computer far enough to make it run rich enough to make it burn black!
Check if all else fails?
