HERE WE GO, 07 PT. FAN CAME ON IN THE NIGHT BATTERY DEAD. CHANGED BOTH HI LO RELAYS AND COOLANT TEMP. SENSOR. WAS OK FOR FEW MINUTES THEN CAME BACK ON. IM HEARING SOMETHING ABOUT A SWITCH AT THE FAN POSSIBLY, MEANING CHANGE FAN. NEED DIRECTION PLEASE

First, welcome to the forum.
Second, please don't use all capital letter when posting as that's like yelling/screaming in forum protocol. From what I can gather in a search, when a problem like yours pops up, it usually turns out to be a bad TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Module) which is the black box in the engine compartment with the fuses and relays. This unit costs several hundred dollars and is coded to your VIN. Wen others had this problem, instead of spending the money, a hot wire work-around was done to turn the fan on/off manually. |
