I have a 2004 turbo lite and im looking to do exhaust turbo back. im looking to be making 240-260 whp in the end and was wondering what size piping to do. Either 2.5 madrel bent turbo back or 3 madrel bent turbo back. would 2.5 be enough because there is a good price savings on doing so

If i go 2.5 do I need to replace that 90 degree elbow coming off the turbo?

Nitro is correct. But you can get those numbers with stock pipes. Just in case the budget is a consideration. Intune and stage 1 and your almost there.

I was just stating that going 2.5" ill save about $200 which i can use towards a intune and a stage 1. I just want my car to sound better and the slight possibility of spooling a little quicker im gonna do 2.5 turbo back with highflow cat and borla muffler

Opinion based and observation via inspection:
You may consider using an aftermarket H02/02 housing along with a down pipe going from 3" to 2.5? This one is what I have and was pretty good quality. It did not come with the extra brace. https://www.modernperformance.com/pr...ruiser_exhaust Needwings is more expensive pretty much the same quality and should have the extra brace? I also have an inexpensive E-Bay stainless down pipe of as good a quality as I have seen? Neither may not do much if you do not do the exhaust manifold mod though? |

So you are saying is run a 3 inch O2 and a 2.5 inch downpipe?

Stock turbo exhaust pipe is 2" id pipe. I went with 3" o2, 3" downpipe with 3"CAT, 2.5" CAT back. All stuff off ebay 5+ years ago.
