Exclamation Heater trouble

This is my first cruiser, I just bought my 2003 cruiser turbo 2.4, I need some help. I was waiting for my order at my local burger king and my sister in law told me that she heard a gurgling or bubbling sound from the engine area. I took the car to a mechanic and they fixed the overheating by doing whatever to make the fan run all the time. My temp gauge didn't register anything above the cold mark for 2 days and now the temp gauge is working. I drove the car after getting it back from the mechanic and noticed a weird burning smell, the next day I go on a long distance trip and notice that my charger ports are no longer working. I didn't think anything of that figured it be nice to have the charger working. Then this morning I go out to take my kids to the bus stop and noticed I had no heat. The blower is working, the a/c is working. I also can't use my back windows.

First of all wiring the fan to run all the time may not work as these fans brushes ware out and you just can't bypass that. You don't have heat because your most likely loosing antifreeze. You need to find a better mechanic before you are walking. you can ruin your motor real quick from heating. Even if you don't have enough coolant to register on the gauge. It doesn't mean the motor isn't getting hot.

Agree w/Busted.
You have air in your heater core where there should be coolant.
Find a mechanic that isn't an idiot or else your car will be destroyed from overheating.

First of all, this is a 2003 turbo which has a different fan system than any other PT Cruiser. You start messing with this one trying to "hot wire" and you might be damaging the PCM.
