stuttering and coughing 2.4 2001 ???

why is my 2001 2.4 coughing and stuttering when idling in gear and taking off from a stop ? runs great at full speed. I replaced pcv, and egr valve, looked for any vacuum leaks there's no pcm codes ?? i'm stumped ???? please anyone have a clue ??

Turbo or N/A?.....What's the mileage on your 2001 PT Cruiser?
