Thumbs up Spectre Air Filters

Hello everyone, hope everyone is doing well. My question, has anyone used Spectre HPR8747 Air Filter(drop-in) in there 01-05 PT? Similar to K & N. Any positive results? I looked in previous threads for this brand before asking.

Did you see the follow-up to your other on drop-in air filter thread? I don't think the Spectre was covered. But it is very informative reading if you haven't see it:

Drop In Air Filters - Revisited

I myself use a K&B style intake with a Sprectre filter, you can read about that here. I find them to be pretty good quality:

Another filter thread..........
I only want to say that it is not like a K&N. Different oil and not even close to the same material used.

I know the original owners of Spectre I carried their products in 2 of my shops when they first came into business. Nothing bad to say about them. Great customer service, excellent advertising and distributors.

i had one on a honda prelude and it rusted like this pic, but everywhere. bright orange all the way around, inside and out. if you use one, make sure you keep an eye on it. oil it as required or maintain it however the instructions say. the one i had came with the car when i got it. i powerwashed it a time or two, but i never oiled it. i never knew i was supposed to.

Thanks all for the responses. Had that slippery slope feeling when I was typing asking about Spectre. I was looking more at drop-in style so rust would be moot. I was on a site that only carried 2 brands of air filters, K & N, and Spectre. Thought I would inquire at my own risk.
