I own a 2001 PT with 86000 miles on it, mostly interstate driving. My car began missing last month. I took it in for a tune up and they changed the plugs but not the wires. It still misses and it seems to be getting worse. My husband suggested changing the plug wires and putting good ones in....I hope this takes care of the problem. I first noticed the miss when I was in city traffic with my heater on, and when I turned the heater off, it would quit. At this point, it is missing when I am travelling under 50 mph.

I ordered the Crane Wires, received them the next day, and my husband put them on in about 30 minutes. It seems to have solved the problem. My PT also seems to have more "get up & go" to it as well. It really aggravates me that I just had this car tuned up and they didn't change the plug wires....I thought that this was part of the tune up, but I found out differently. In the end, it is probably better that I was able to research this out and get a better set of wires. Thanks to everyone for all the helpful information.
