Hey guys! I'm a newbie here. I have a 2007 PT Cruiser Touring Edition (not sure if it is turbo or non-turbo).
I'm looking to upgrade my muffler, but I'm not sure what makes/models of muffler can be loaded onto the PT Cruiser. I was considering a Cherrybomb glasspack but was told those aren't ideal on PT Cruisers; could a DC or a Flowmaster be a more viable choice? |

Flow masters-I've had them before and liked them bit they are a personal taste Quote:

Your money, but I'd go with stainless steel or else you'll be replacing it.
You could post a "wanted" post here - lots of folks selling their PT go back to stock, and as long as what you buy is stainless, you'll get it cheaper.

i always heard the cherry boms were no good for a NA as well but some one explained the way things actualyl work and the cherry bomb is as good a choice for the na and the turbo its just way louder than the flowmaster which is a great sound if you liek it
Oh and if the spelling police are reading this all i can say is Good luck............ |

There is NOTHING wrong with a Cherry Bomb glass pack on a TurboCharged Engine or normally aspirated.
It is NOT loader then a Flowmaster!? The CFM of a Cherry Bomb is actually better then most model Flowmasters. Most Cherry Bomb or equivalent glass-packs are cheaper then many of the "to get" supposedly mufflers that get recommended word of mouth. Who makes this stuff up about Glass packs any who? Stainless steel muffler are not completely stainless and will rust and deteriorate at seems and interior area like other mufflers if subjected to a wet environment. But and this is the big "but" they will stay "prettier " looking longer then conventional none stainless mufflers. Bottom line is that you can get a Cherry Bomb Glass pack and have it welded up perhaps even cheaper then any muffler even a stock aftermarket replacement? Here is my very LOUD 05 Turbo PT Cruiser. Hold your ears and watch the volume on your speakers so you don't blow them out. ![]()
