Default Help with the 5 intake plenum bolts

Hello everyone, finally registered to post, but have been lurking and soaking up all the great info on here for about a year.
Well here is my newest problem. I got a "misfire cylinder 3" code today. Its about time for a tune up (plugs, wires, new plenum gaskets), so went and got all the things needed.
I went over the plug guide on this forum to get an idea of what to do and it seemed pretty straight forward. But that was not to be!
I was able to remove the first three intake bolts on the bottom of the 5, but the top 2 just spin and spin. They are stripped!
Anyone on here ever have the same issue, or any Jedi wisdom as to how to get them out? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Try gently prying up as you turn. Either the brass plug will spin out of the intake or bind and allow the bolt to unscrew. Then you will need to glue them back in without getting glue in the threads.

I tried to pry up with a screw driver, and it just kept spinning. I also tried pushing up on the bottom of the bolt as i tried to loosen, but that did nothing but drill a hole in my finger
How about if i break the top of the bolts off to remove the plenum, them with more bolt showing i could vise grip them out.
Then to button it all back up I could use a bolt with a nut on the bottom to sandwich it back together.
Think that would work?

I know people have used the nut and bolt trick to secure it back so I would guess that your way would work.

Thanks guys, gonna go back out and give it another go. Did the pry thing again and was able to get one moving, but the other wouldn't budge. so i guess the break it off method, and vise grip, is gonna have to do. now to figure out how to do it without breaking other things. big screw driver and a hammer to the head of the bolt? or any other ideas?

just pull. it's a little brass threaded insert. it should pull right out. i wouldn't want to hammer on or mar the plastic. the bolt will win.

I personally would not recommend anything until you post some good pictures of your problem.

It may not be so cut and dry repair as some are recommending?
