Guys need help

hello guys, am new here and i hope i am welcomed
i have a problem and i hope u can help me, Guys am not sure of its something wrong, but i opened up the airfilter cover and removed the filter from its place, i was just checking it out, and i placed it again and closed it. AS i was heading back home i floored it once, and then after 10 kms i heard this weird noise coming out of the engine, its like the engine has a new ROAR , sounds different, high noise.

Another thing happened as i reached home, the passenger seat next to the driver, under the glove box, something fell, but it is still attached, i tried to put it up again but i couldnt, it doesnt move..

so what shall i do .... need help fast

You look familiar, welcome to the links. Many people on here are nice and friendly, and some just like to joke around from time to time.

About the roar thing in your engine. Mine did the same when I first checked the filter. Are you sure you got the back 4 notches in the proper holes. There located on the bottom part of the box in the back and near the top. You will not notice them unless you are looking for them. They hook into the top half of the box. Hope that helps some.

Did you check it a second time after what I told you to check? I think that maybe the filter isn't set right if the box is on correctly. It should fit snuggley on the sides but not tight.

Were there any tools you might have used? If so check for them and see if one may be missing.

I don't really know about the high sound. Mine had a low roary sound until I had fixed the box and set it right.

About the part falling, is there anything in the glove box that might have moved causing the same sound?

junkno, welcome to the forum. I agree with KingKole, sounds like the filter isn't set right or the box isn't sealed properly. Not sure about the item that fell down under the glove box, what does it look like?

thx for the help guys, i placed it correctly now (but u know the sound was kinda cool though,btw do you guys know what happens if i left it the way it is [:I])
About the peace under the glove box, my friend tells me its the Heater Core ??! [:I]

Yes, you suck all sorts of bad things into your intake and into the combustion chambers which is not good.
If you like the noise, get a cold air filter like an AirRaid or a K&N.
That helps low end throttle response, pep the car up a bit, esp if its a non-turbo. If it's a turbo, your better off with the box and a drop in filter unless you go ram air.

Am not that experienced with cars so i was just wondering, when i went for my 6000 kms oil change, etc.., i asked the guy if i can put an exhaust, only cat back and he was like saying it will ruin ur warranty , and i saw some k&n filters just the cones, which size should i get , there were like different sizes
